Meet Ramses & Lyrica Starling – Owners | Land & Web Designer | DJ
The heart of Starling Sanctuary began with two people who met in the most unexpected way—through trivia. Ramses, originally from Switzerland, is a natural polyglot who speaks four languages fluently, including English (though he’ll never admit how good he actually is). A trivia buff through and through, he first crossed paths with Lyrica during a game on another platform. One conversation led to another, and before long, Lyrica invited him into her Second Life world.
Ramses is not often in SL, appearing mostly on weekend evenings after 9:30pm SLT. When he does log in, it’s with one purpose: to spend time with Lyrica—fishing, exploring, and relaxing with their close friends and chosen family. His quiet presence, unwavering support, and warm loyalty are part of the foundation that makes Starling Sanctuary feel like home.
Lyrica, on the other hand, is the creative force who keeps everything running day to day. She loves building landscapes, designing rentals, creating graphics, doing photography (in both SL and RL), shaping websites, and bringing beautiful ideas to life.
DJ Mud – Resident DJ | Creator | Co-Owner Energy
If you’ve spent any time in Starling Sanctuary, chances are you’ve already felt the energy of DJ Mud—whether it’s through the pulse of a live set or the spaces he’s helped bring to life.
Mud wears a lot of hats. As a DJ, creator, and key force behind builds like the Speedway, he plays a huge role in shaping both the sound and experience of the sanctuary. He manages the Starling Perches, the rentals featured in this immersive region. His passion for music runs deep—he doesn’t just play tracks, he knows them. From artists and eras to deep cuts and crowd favorites, his knowledge is as impressive as his ability to read a room and deliver exactly what it needs.
While he naturally leans into a rock vibe, Mud is anything but one-note. Like DJ Lyrica, he’s versatile across genres, bringing the same energy and intention whether it’s rock, dance, or something in between.
Beyond the music, Mud is known for his loyalty and connection to the people around him. A close friend to Lyrica—more like a little brother in many ways—he’s part of the heart that keeps the community grounded and real.
Based in the U.S. and happily taken by Jessica Poe, Mud brings both talent and authenticity into everything he does.
